September is Pedestrian Safety Month, and the Berkeley Police Department (BPD) will participate in activities throughout the month encouraging the safety of people walking.
As the summer travel season wraps up, the Berkeley Police Department reminds drivers to be responsible and never drive under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
On August 12th, the Berkeley Police Department will conduct a driving under the influence (DUI) Checkpoint from 7 pm to 2 am at the intersection of Adeline Street and Alcatraz Avenue.
As students head back to the classroom, the City of Berkeley Police Department reminds parents and residents to follow the speed limit and be extra careful driving through school zones.
